Ledseco contributes to making holiday homes more sustainable
Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin to be made more sustainable: between February and May, the Ledseco company from Stellendam will fit more than a hundred holiday homes with solar panels and charging stations or cabinets.
The company previously installed solar panels on the reception building of Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin. When Landal subsequently expressed that it wanted to make its holiday homes more sustainable, Ledseco, set up by Jaap-Jan Smit and Cornelis van Velzen, responded. Landal chose Ledseco at the end of last year because the Stellendam-based company had done a lot of inventory work and knew exactly how many solar panels could be installed on each rooftop at each property in the park, taking into account the capacity of the power grid. Another factor in Landal’s choice of Ledseco was the preference to collaborate with companies in the immediate area.
It was then up to the owners of the holiday homes whether to accept Ledseco’s offer. The company has now installed solar panels at more than a hundred homes, around eight homes per week. During the week the installation took place, the properties in question were not rented out. Owners who opted for a charging station or cabinet in addition to solar panels will get two extra panels on the roof because of the additional power requirement. The maximum number of solar panels is eight per cottage. On properties with orange tiled roofs, Ledseco will install panels in the same colour.

These are A-quality solar panels, which are also made of glass on both sides: glass-glass. The benefit of this is that salt, wind and sand will have less of an impact on the panels, meaning they will last longer. Which is by no means insignificant given the location of the park! Ledseco will also be installing micro-inverters from the premium brand Enphase, which keep the owner precisely informed of the output of the panels and also ensures that the whole system does not fail if one of the panels malfunctions. The warranty on these micro-inverters is a staggering twenty-five years. The charging stations or cabinets are by Zaptec, who put a lot of thought into design. Owners can charge their car at their own holiday home. And that obviously includes tenants with electric cars. They can do so using their own charge card.
