First guests discover Landal Landgoed Bourtange

Close to the well-known fortified town of Bourtange in eastern Groningen, Landal Landgoed Bourtange has opened; beautifully situated in the greenery of the Westerwolde region, in the so-called Golden Triangle of the North: Groningen, Drenthe and the German border region. Here, 143 premium and energy-efficient homes have been built in various styles to accommodate 2, 4, 6 or 8 people. The first guests have already discovered the holiday park and its surroundings. Meanwhile, three winners from Zwijndrecht have won a holiday home at the park in the National Postcode Lottery.

Landal Landgoed Bourtange is surrounded by natural beauty and forests. The area boasts several hiking and cycling routes and has the longest mountain bike route network. The park is located on the Noaberpad, a long-distance hiking trail of 463 km from the Dollard to the Rhine along the Dutch-German border, the ‘noabers’.

Luxury holiday homes
The high-quality holiday homes are partly located by the water and are fully equipped. They offer a high degree of privacy and are fully furnished and styled. The architecture of the holiday homes dovetails perfectly with the surroundings. The first phase includes several housing types for 2, 4, 6 and 8 people.

The existing central facilities will be replaced in due course with a new, stylish building to match the architecture of the various holiday homes. In and around the current building you will find the Reception with local produce and a sandwich service. Outside you will find a small restaurant, patio and a recreational lake with play beach and swimming and fishing areas. The municipal outdoor swimming pool the Barkhoorn is located next to the park and is free to guests.

Bourtange and its surroundings
Landal Landgoed Bourtange lies close to Bourtange, a unique fortified town with a turbulent history. The design of the moats and walls proved the safest way to protect Bourtange. Nearby lies the star-shaped fortress dating from 1742, which has recently been fully restored.
